Lubbock Concert Band

We now have Sound Bytes up and running!!   If you have not been able to attend a concert, please click on the ‘Sound Bytes’ tab and  see what you have been missing.  If you have been to a concert, see if we have your favorite piece available and play it over and over and over.

Welcome!!!  



With a final flourish of the baton, Season 17 has come to a close on a high note!  We once again have been honored to be included with the Chancel Choir in First United Methodist Church’s presentation of God Shed His Grace on Thee: An American Festival.


This has been a season of change – different venues, a new collaboration with Texas Tech School of Music and the addition of many new members who have added much depth of experience to the band.
A huge heart-felt Thank you to all of our faithful supporters who have followed us through many venues, to our awesome Director/Conductor, Jerry Gowler and all the board members for guiding the band through growing pains and upward to new opportunities and to all the area band directors who have allowed us to ‘borrow’ band halls, equipment and auditoriums over the years.

Season 18 is coming up quickly!  We have some new surprises lined up….you will have to stay tuned to find out what they are!  Rehearsals will start Sept 5, 2024 at Lubbock Christian High School Band Hall at 6:45 pm.  Come early to get a seat and settled in!!


We are always looking to add members to the Lubbock Concert Band.  No audition necessary.  The requirements to join the Lubbock Concert Band are simple:  1) You own your instrument (preferably a brass/woodwind – percussion is provided); 2) You can read music; 3) You are willing to play (and practice) challenging music and 4) You are willing to have fun and maybe make some new friends; 5) Must be 18 or older.
